$125 million, Is n't it too much for Obama's Inauguration despite this great US economic pandemonium? No, I don't think so.

In these dour economic times, one complaint made by the people who didn't vote for Barack Obama is: why is the federal government spending so much money on his inauguration? As Tom "Hammer" Delay told Politico:
If Obama were "serious" about changing Washington, DeLay said, "He would announce to the world: 'We are in crisis, we are at war, people are losing jobs; we are not going to have this party. Instead, I'm going to get sworn in at the White House. I'm going to have a nice little chicken dinner, and we'll save $125 million."Oh, Mr. Delay. This whole inauguration thing must really be painful for you to have to watch. Forced from your position of power due to an indictment charging that you violated campaign finance laws, you're a fine one to lecture Obama on how to be serious about change. But what about the price tag? Is Delay in the right ballpark?ABC News crunches the numbers and finds that:
The federal government estimates that it will spend roughly $49 million on the inaugural weekend. Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland have requested another $75 million from the federal government to help pay for their share of police, fire and medical services. And then there is the party bill.We have a budget of roughly $45 million, maybe a little bit more," said Linda Douglas, spokeswoman for the inaugural committee. That's more than the $42.3 million in private funds spent by President Bush's committee in 2005, or the $33 million spent for Bill Clinton's first inaugural in 1993.So, while Delay may not be far off in terms of the total cost of the event, a good bit of that will be paid via private donations, just as in inaugurations past. Media Matters has more on the apples-to-apples comparison. We also must consider crowd size. When Lyndon B. Johnson took his oath of office in 1965, roughly 1.2 million people turned up. Until Obama, that record turnout would not be surpassed. Bill Clinton drew 800,000 for his first term, and a mere 250,000 for his second. George W. Bush packed in 400,000 for his first solemn swearing, and about 100,000 fewer than that for his second. Estimates for Obama's crowd range anywhere from 2-4 million. That's a whole lot more porta-potties to rent. And here is the fundamental difference with those who bemoan another lavish inauguration at a time of economic turmoil and those who want to dance and sing in the frigid cold on the Washington Mall: the former group isn't happy Obama won, and the latter group is. The latter group is larger than the former, judging from most polls, and they are hungry to have something to celebrate. So, while Tom Delay sits at home with his darkened television, eating his chicken (don't forget the collard greens!) and cursing history, a great many Americans will be having a grand old time, if but for a day or two.

Will Barack Obama's Inauguration Be The Star-Studded Affair His Victory Party Wasn't?Inaugural ceremony takes place on January 20, 2009.

The presidential inauguration is an event that's about as close to a royal coronation as American government gets. It's a day filled with ceremony, guards, salutes, parades, speeches, a party that's actually still called a "ball" and, of course, symbolism: of new beginnings, rites of passage, of change. It's the president's opportunity to declare his administration's intent: At John F. Kennedy's inauguration in 1961, he made his legendary "Ask not what not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country" speech.
It's also an opportunity for surreal mismatches, as anyone who remembers the sight of President George W. Bush dancing awkwardly next to Ricky Martin during the 2001 inaugural celebrations can attest. (Several years later, Martin extended his middle finger when singing a lyric including Bush's name during a concert, which he later said was a comment on the war in Iraq.) for more information visit this link http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1598633/20081105/puff_daddy.jhtml

BUCHS, Switzerland

BUCHS, Switzerland—Mibelle Biochemistry was awarded the 2008 BSB European Innovation Prize for cosmetics and chemistry in the actives/naturals category. Its PhytoCellTech™ Malus Domestica was awarded the prize as the first active based on plant stem cells to protect skin stem cells. Mibelle used a novel, patent-pending plant cell culture technology to develop the active from apple stem cells; the dedifferentiated callus cells were cultivated from a rare Swiss apple called Uttwiler Spätlauber. The cells are rich in epigenetic factors and metabolites, which assure the longevity and vitality of skin cells.

Logging on and Logging off

After signing in my password, my computer shows an empty desktop with no icons or starts logging off on its own. What could I do?

One of the files that enable your system to boot may have been corrupted or deleted. To troubleshoot it, there are many methods.

1. if you recently installed a new programme in your system eg antivirus, try and uninstall it from safe mode administrator. It is simple. Restart you system, once it starts booting, press F2 or F8. Select safe mode. This will allow it to boot from safe mode. Try and enter through administrator. If your computer boots, try and uninstall the new programme. Then shut down and restart your system through your normal method. It will boot well. Else if still logs off, try the second method.
2. Get windows operating system prefferably the one that is familiar to what your system is already having. Slot in the plate. restart your system. Allow the system to boot from CD. Try and repair your system by pressing "r". Then follow the instruction step by step.

For more details, write me at henrybabwe@yahoo.com for detailed step by step method to solve your PC problem.
I wake up in the morning and discovered that I could not power on my system. I thought of what to do. I have screw driver but I am not a computer engineer. My personal computer engineer travelled. I had to repair my system so that I go on working with it. I must do it myself.
Having unscrewed the screws, behold, a board with ICs, cables, etc. I have heard about Ram and have seen it before. I decided to detach it and put it back. I screwed my system.
To my greatest surprise, my system came up.

Feel free to write me for more computer problems you may encounter in the future. Write me at henrybabwe@yahoo.com
